What is peptide therapy and how does it work?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as biological messengers—signaling your body to produce specific proteins, hormones, or cellular responses. At Roots, we use pharmaceutical-grade peptides prescribed by our physicians to support recovery, sleep quality, growth hormone function, skin and collagen health, gut repair, metabolic performance, and anti-inflammatory regulation. All protocols are personalized and require an eligibility consultation and physician oversight.

What are peptides and what do they help with?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that signal the body to do what it already knows how to do. At Roots we use them to support recovery, sleep, skin quality, growth-hormone function, gut and soft-tissue repair, and whole-body anti-inflammation, always as part of a wider longevity plan.
Which peptides does Roots offer?
Our signature blends are GloW (GHK-Cu, BPC-157, TB-500) and Wolverine (BPC-157, TB-500). Single peptides include GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin. Specialty and as-needed options are NAD+, PT-141 and Melanotan, offered on their own with no three-month minimum.
Are peptide programs available virtually?
Yes. Peptide programs run nationwide by telehealth with provider oversight, so you do not need to live in Tampa. After your eligibility consultation, your protocol is prescribed, shipped and adjusted remotely, with check-ins scheduled as your provider recommends throughout the program.
Are peptides safe?
Every protocol requires an eligibility consultation, is prescribed and dosed by our clinical team, and is monitored under physician supervision. We source pharmaceutical-grade product only and individualize dosing to the person rather than working from a fixed protocol.
What is the GloW peptide blend and what does it do?
GloW is Roots' signature peptide blend formulated for skin, hair, and collagen support. It combines GHK-Cu (a copper peptide known for collagen synthesis and anti-aging) with other peptides that target hair follicle health and skin remodeling. Results typically develop over 8–12 weeks of consistent use.
What is the Wolverine peptide blend?
Wolverine is Roots' signature recovery-focused peptide blend, designed for tissue repair, inflammation reduction, and injury recovery. It includes peptides that support soft-tissue healing, gut integrity, and anti-inflammatory pathways. It's popular among athletes and patients recovering from surgery or injury.
What is NAD+ therapy and why is it used?
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell of the body, critical for energy metabolism, DNA repair, and cellular communication. NAD+ levels decline with age and stress. At Roots, we offer NAD+ infusions and injections to support cellular energy, cognitive clarity, mood, and anti-aging. Sessions typically last 2–4 hours for infusions.
How is peptide therapy different from steroids or HGH?
Peptides work by stimulating the body's own production of hormones and proteins—they don't introduce synthetic hormones directly. For example, CJC-1295/Ipamorelin stimulates the pituitary gland to release more natural growth hormone rather than injecting HGH itself. This approach tends to have a more favorable safety profile and fewer side effects when properly dosed and supervised.
Are peptides legal and safe?
The peptides offered at Roots are prescribed by licensed physicians and sourced from FDA-registered, 503A compounding pharmacies. They are legal as prescribed medications in the United States. Like any medical therapy, peptides carry risks that your provider will review at your consultation. We do not sell peptides for research or non-clinical use.
How are peptides administered?
Most peptide protocols at Roots involve subcutaneous self-injection, administered at home after training from our clinical team. Depending on the peptide, administration may be subcutaneous injection or other clinician-directed forms, and NAD+ is also offered as an infusion. Your provider will recommend the administration method that best fits your protocol and lifestyle.
