Hormone therapy · Channelside, Tampa

Balance you
can feel.

Fatigue, poor sleep, low libido, stubborn body composition and mood changes often trace back to hormones. Hormone replacement therapy addresses the cause rather than the symptom list.

Every protocol here is physician-led, started from lab work and your history, and adjusted with follow-up.

Who Is a Good Candidate for HRT?

Most people who come to us for hormone therapy do not arrive with a lab result in hand — they arrive with symptoms. Persistent fatigue that sleep does not fix, poor sleep quality, low libido, brain fog, mood changes, stubborn body composition despite consistent effort, hot flushes or night sweats — these are the signs that hormones may be driving the picture.

Age matters, but less than people assume. Women often notice shifts through perimenopause, which can begin in the late thirties or forties, well before menopause itself. Men commonly see testosterone decline gradually through their forties and fifties, though younger patients with symptoms and confirming labs are treated as well. What matters more than age is your health history. Before anything is prescribed, we review your full medical picture — including conditions and medications that affect hormone therapy — alongside your lab work.

HRT is physician-led here precisely because candidacy is a clinical decision. If your labs and history say therapy is not right for you, we will tell you and discuss alternatives.

What to Expect at Your HRT Consultation

Your first visit is a conversation and a lab draw, not a prescription. We start by listening — what symptoms brought you in, how long they have lasted, what you have already tried — and reviewing your full health history. Then we order comprehensive lab work: hormone panels, thyroid, metabolic markers and the other values relevant to your situation. Lab results typically take a few days.

Once they are back, you return for a second visit where we review the numbers together, explain what they mean in plain language, and connect them to how you have been feeling. If therapy is appropriate, your physician builds a customized treatment plan around your results: the type of hormone, the delivery method, the starting dose and the follow-up schedule. Nothing is prescribed from a template — two patients with similar symptoms can have very different lab pictures.

We do not start therapy until we have seen your labs and discussed them with you, and your plan includes scheduled rechecks so dosing is adjusted to your response.

Results vary and are not guaranteed. All treatments begin with a consultation.

Frequently asked

How do we start?

With a consultation and lab work. We review the results together before anything is prescribed.

How long until I feel different?

Many patients notice change within the first few weeks, with fuller effect over two to three months.

Is it monitored?

Yes. We recheck labs and symptoms and adjust dosing rather than setting and forgetting.

How long does it take to feel results from HRT?

Many patients notice early changes — often in sleep, energy or mood — within the first few weeks of starting therapy. Fuller effect builds over two to three months as dosing is refined against your labs and how you are feeling. Hormone therapy is not an overnight switch; your body adjusts gradually, and the plan is reassessed at each follow-up. If something is not working as expected after your early check-ins, your physician adjusts the protocol rather than waiting it out.

Is HRT safe?

HRT is well established when it is prescribed appropriately and monitored. That is why every protocol here starts with lab work and a full health review before anything is prescribed — candidacy, dosing and any risks are assessed against your specific history, not generalized. Certain conditions and histories make hormone therapy unsuitable, and your physician will tell you if that applies to you. Once you are on therapy, regular lab rechecks and symptom reviews keep dosing within a range appropriate for you over time. We discuss your individual risk factors openly at consultation so you can make an informed decision.

What types of hormones are used?

It depends on your labs, your symptoms and your goals. For men, therapy commonly centers on testosterone when levels test low alongside confirming symptoms. For women, support through perimenopause and menopause commonly involves estrogen and progesterone, tailored to where you are in that transition. Delivery methods vary, and the right choice depends on what you need, how you prefer to take it and how your body responds. Your physician recommends the type and format at your consult, after your labs are back, rather than prescribing from a template.

How is HRT monitored over time?

With scheduled follow-ups, not set-and-forget prescribing. We recheck your labs at intervals and pair the numbers with how you actually feel — energy, sleep, libido, mood and body composition all feed the picture. Dosing is adjusted based on that combined view rather than on a fixed schedule. As therapy settles, visits space out, but monitoring continues; hormones shift with age, stress and life changes, so the plan is revisited as needed. If your goals or symptoms change between visits, reach out and we will reassess.
